ASME BPE 2024 - What's New, What's Different, What's Interesting and What's in the Works!
ISPE and the ASME BPE standard go together like peas and carrots - like peanut butter and jelly. One defines how the equipment SHOULD and SHALL be built, and the other gives best practices and guidelines for processes and procedures. The ASME BPE was chartered in 1989 in response to a need from the industry - modern facilities could not be built repeatably due to problems in standardization of materials, means, mechanical mishaps and misalignments in equipment and components available in the market. It was founded to align these needs with the available products, and to simplify the needs and requirements of a user requirement specification (URS) - thereby reducing both the direct and inferred costs and improving the time to market for manufacturers. As the industry embraces single-use technology, learn how the ASME BPE has adapted and grown to address this need for reliable standardization and industry consensus.
