Dear Members,
Our 2022-23 program year—which ended in August—was a year of acceleration for ISPE Delaware Valley Chapter (DVC), allowing us to deliver more professional engagement for our membership. As did the rest of the world, we were able to further distance ourselves from the impact of the pandemic, and we were able to bring more opportunities for the chapter to deliver the society’s mission of “connecting pharmaceutical knowledge” in order to “deliver quality medicines to patients.”
ISPE DVC accomplished this through the delivery of additional events that connected more of our area professionals across a wider variety of topics and reaching a larger demographic. The robustness of growth reflected across the 2022/23 program year was highlighted by the delivery of our largest ever annual Symposium & Exhibition in May at Lincoln Financial Field. It attracted a record number of exhibitors (130) and registrants (>1,200). I thank last year’s DVC President, Brendan Bradley, the Board of Directors, and all our volunteers for their excellent work in delivering a very successful program year!
For the 2023-24 program year, we plan to build on our previous year’s successes and have had a strong start to the year. Specifically, some of our strategic targets include initiatives to:
The DVC officers and I are thrilled by the energy and passion of our Board of Directors (BOD), committee chairs, co-chairs, and volunteers who are supporting the work across our eight different committees. They continue to be successful in widening the topics of discussion and delivering new programming events through both face-to-face and virtual formats. This includes educational events held at manufacturing facilities, networking through our Women In Pharma (WIP) book club, and nurturing university engagement through on-campus food trucks, just to name just a few.
All this activity is made possible through the amazing support we receive from our sponsors, many of whom support us consistently from year to year. This program year, we have 33 annual sponsors, all of whom consistently remain very active in the chapter’s programs throughout the year—in addition to providing us with professionals who want to get involved in supporting the society’s mission. The BOD and I are grateful to them and cannot thank them enough for all their support.
To continue building our chapter's reach to our members, we are always looking for more volunteers and speakers, so please reach out to me directly at president@ispedvc.org if you are interested in contributing to ISPE DVC or if you have any questions.

Daniel L. D’Aquila, P.E.
