Lizette Janse van Rensburg is a South African born scientist with a Masters degree in Chemistry and Post-graduate Diploma in Business Administration. She has more than 16 years of experience working in a cGMP environment, with extensive experience in facility, process design and operational establishment to obtain cGMP Certification. Before permanent immigration to Australia, she was involved with the successful establishment of the first sterile robotic filling cell manufacturing in South Africa, the General Manager of a sterile injectable oncology manufacturing facility and start-up of a contract Quality Control Testing Laboratory. She is the first South African serving on an ISPE Steering Committee, and is one of the authors of a Points to Consider document to be published by PDA on ATMP Manufacturing. The empowerment of woman lies close to her heart, and she has been acting as an ambassador in South Africa for the ISPE Woman in Pharma initiative. She has recently joined PCI Pharma Services in Australia and is venturing into the world of clinical manufacturing.
