Christine Teipen Smith

Christine Teipen Smith is a Director for Global Quality Systems at Eli Lilly and Company, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She and her team support quality and laboratory systems for Lilly global manufacturing and enterprise. Her work focuses on topics such as quality culture, as well as quality management processes, including data integrity, deviation management, and CAPA program. Christine has over 21 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience at Lilly, much of it spent in support of parenteral manufacturing, where she held positions of increasing responsibility in the quality control, operations, and quality assurance functions. She has further experience in the external manufacturing and consumer product complaint organizations. Christine holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana.
