Congratulations to Prof. Christoph Herwig, PhD, Christian Wölbeling, and Thomas Zimmer, PhD—authors of the 2017 Article of the Year. Their article "A Holistic Approach to Production Control: From Industry 4.0 to Pharma 4.0" as published in the May-June 2017 issue of Pharmaceutical Engineering® magazine.

The 2017 Winner was announced in the Editor's Voice article printed in the March/April 2018 issue of Pharmaceutical Engineering.
The article is the first in the award’s history in which the judges’ decision was unanimous. This speaks to the strategic thinking showcased in the article: equal parts innovation, pragmatism, and measurable goals.
